The first single off the band's sixth EP "Light Refracts, Flickers Back."

Our drummer, Dan, has made his desire to write something heavy very clear for quite a while now. Well, this is as heavy as Chris can muster on guitar. Luckily, Riley more than makes up for it with a buzzy bass riff that allows the percussion to propel the whirring synth and riffage into oblivion. The public domain sample during the breakdown comes from the 1938 comedy Letter of Introduction written by Sheridan Gibney & Leonard Spigelgass, and similarly, the title refers to the kind of absurd pain caused by conforming to societal roles as if they were orders to be obeyed, whether it be gender or otherwise.
