PRGRPHS - "Prolepsis" - off our sixth EP Light Refracts, Flickers Back

Featuring public domain samples from the denouement of the 1945 Fritz Lang film noir Scarlet Street, this song was conceived as a kind of daydream/nightmare diptych that could stitch together the two proverbial sides of PRGRPHS: melodic bliss and distorted dirge. The journey starts with an airy mood-setting groove before a heel turn into a borderline-apocalyptic reveal, sci-fi synths and bending strings crashing into monster bass riffs and explosive percussion. Half meditation and half catharsis, the EP's closing track projects an impossible but inevitable future state of brokenness and strength, aimlessness and mess.
