PRGRPHS - Light Refracts, Flickers Back

Known for their signature propulsive rhythms and blissed-out melodies, the sixth release from the band finds them with an even fuller and more ambitious sound than any of their previous efforts.

Bassist Riley Conway joins the former duo of Chris Polley & Dan Vogel here, providing an impactful low-end fulcrum to the mix, which both enhances and enriches the bright proceedings with alternately ominous and cathartic grooves and moods. Featuring carefully selected public domain film samples sprinkled throughout as well as a heavy dose of overdrive and delay, e-bow and crescendo, Light Refracts, Flickers Back is 22 minutes of pure adrenaline and ecstasy, ready to burrow riffs and fills into your ears at the close of 2023.
